Teens Take Action

About

Teens Take Action inspires teens to inventory their curiosities, find their voice, and take action.

Teens Take Action is a how-to platform that also connects teens to other teens who are also following their passions. Whether it’s starting a business, inventing a product, or offering a service to their community, these teens and tweens are taking stock of their resources and making a difference.

Workshops

We offer two tracks for teens and tweens.

Idea > Action

A series of three one-hour workshops that guide teens through the process of taking inventory, identifying resources and making an action plan.

The curriculum is based on the workbook found in Gen Z Teens Take Action, the EVVY-award nominated book published Spring 2025 which recaps the real stories of 14 teens making a difference nationally and in their own communities.

This course will be offered this Fall in partnership with local Libraries, Teen Organizations and Family Play Spaces in the Bay Area.

Storytelling

For teens and tweens, a community to equip them with the tools and experience to explore their truth, unleash their authentic-self, and take a journey of powerful self-expression through the art of storytelling.

We will break down the elements of a story and learn how to form a narrative. We will practice in a safe space and learn emotional mastery tools.

We offer two courses:

  • This four-course series helps them tell their WHY behind the idea and make them ‘pitch ready’.  With the momentum and skills in place to tell their story to partners, funders, customers and anyone else critical to starting their business, they develop the self-confidence to share their story and feel heard.

  • This is for teens who want to practice being heard. This eight-course series spends more time finding the important seeds of their personal story.  We will also spend more time practicing storytelling in the safe environment of our cohort, giving and getting feedback, and using a toolbox of emotional self-mastery skills to help prepare for the inevitable jitters.

Storytelling courses are on-demand and require a minimum of four participants (friendship groups welcome!).

For more information on any of the three courses above, please email kelli@thechangeproject.co.
